This afternoon we are going to do some RME and Health and Wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health and Wellbeing\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Task 1 Health and Wellbeing &#8211; School Lunch Menu Review<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our cook has asked us for some help.\u00a0 She would like to introduce a new red tray option (meat based) and a new blue tray option (vegetarian) to try and encourage our P1 children to eat more of their lunch and to try and include more vegetables if possible.\u00a0 Your task is to come up with these meals.\u00a0 Use your knowledge of the Eatwell plate to help you plan this.\u00a0 \u00a0You can use the template here or record this in your own way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extension Task -Weekly Menu\u00a0 Planner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Design a timetable with a new weekly menu for Primary 1 children. You can use any format you want to design your menus. Think about how our\u00a0 St John Ogilvie school menu is\u00a0 organised as a starting point. Remember to include all the food groups.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/files\/2020\/05\/School-Meal-Planner.pdf\">School Meal Planner<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Task 2 &#8211; RME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week we learned about the Holy Trinity.\u00a0 Today\u00a0 I want you to think about why it was important to have God on Earth in human form (Jesus).\u00a0 Your task is to create a poster about Jesus, highlighting what his job was here on Earth.\u00a0 Here are some of the things that he did:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Teaching humans to love each other<\/li>\n<li>Leading mankind<\/li>\n<li>Teaching people about loving God<\/li>\n<li>Being the &#8220;middle man&#8221; between God and mankind<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Think also about the qualities that he showed and which made him so good at his &#8220;job&#8221;:\u00a0 bravery; caring; loving; forgiving; a good leader.<\/p>\n<p>You can create your poster using any media that you have (or use a computer design programme).\u00a0 Don&#8217;t forget to upload your work to your Personal Learning blog.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Lea<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon, I hope you have enjoyed your learning and that some of you managed to complete the extension tasks!
