Here are your afternoon activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Task 1 World Fair Trade Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>World Fair Trade Day is on Saturday 9 May 2020. This day is a time to say a big<br \/>\nthank you to all of the farmers and workers who produce our food and drink!<\/p>\n<p>Here is a story you can read:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/files\/2020\/05\/Thank-you-for-the-chocolate-story.pdf\">Thank you for the chocolate story<\/a>. The story will\u00a0take you on a journey to meet everybody involved in bringing chocolate to our shops, right from the very start of the process in the forests of West Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Your Home Learning Challenge is to design and send a Thank You card to the<br \/>\nfarmers and workers who are working hard to provide us with our food and drink at<br \/>\nthis time. You can send a picture of your Thank You card to schools@fairtrade.org.uk and it will be digitally sent to Fairtrade organisations across the world!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Task 2 Roman Music<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Romans enjoyed listening to and making music. Between banquet courses music may have been played as entertainment for guests.<\/p>\n<p>Your task is to make some shakers.\u00a0 Use different materials inside the shaker to explore the different types of sounds.\u00a0Do they make sounds that are high\/low loud\/soft short\/long?<\/p>\n<p>Watch the video clip to learn how to make a shaker\u00a0https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=U2Gkf_HFrMM.<\/p>\n<p>Can you make different rhythms with your shaker? Can you listen to a song and play your shaker in time with the beat?
