{"id":3660,"date":"2020-04-30T11:15:48","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T11:15:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/?p=3660"},"modified":"2020-04-30T11:15:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-30T11:15:48","slug":"primary-7-afternoon-post-30th-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/2020\/04\/30\/primary-7-afternoon-post-30th-april\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 7 Afternoon Post &#8211; 30th April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good Afternoon Primary 7,<\/p>\n<p>I hope you are all having a good week so far. \u00a0I am missing seeing all your lovely faces on a Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Since it is Thursday afternoon, it\u2019s time to do some art work.\u00a0 I absolutely loved seeing your Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired roses last week and I\u2019m excited to see what you all produce today.<\/p>\n<p>Last week we studied a famous Scottish artist, therefore this week we will have a look at a famous artist from Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The artist we are going to look at today it is called Emily Carr.\u00a0 Emily Carr was a painter and writer who painted pictures of the Canadian landscape.\u00a0 Why don\u2019t you see what else you can find out about her?<\/p>\n<p>Like many other artists, Emily Carr enjoyed drawing and painting things found in nature.\u00a0 She is particularly famous for the work she produced featuring trees.\u00a0 I have attached below an art tutorial on how to produce a painting of trees in the style of Emily Carr.\u00a0 You can follow the tutorial and create a similar picture or you can be creative and create your own picture of trees in your own style.\u00a0 If you can see trees from your house, you might want to try to draw\/paint them?\u00a0 If not, you could maybe find a picture online or in a book to inspire you.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FG6Wb59FOIk\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FG6Wb59FOIk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Like last week, don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have the correct materials, just use whatever you have available.\u00a0 Even if that\u2019s just paper and a pencil!<\/p>\n<p>Can the people who haven\u2019t added me to their blogs yet, please add me?\u00a0 I would love to see all the work you have been producing.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks,<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Craig<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Afternoon Primary 7, I hope you are all having a good week so far. \u00a0I am missing seeing all your lovely faces on a Thursday.
