<\/p>\nDear Parents and Carers,<\/p>\n
Here’s an update of this week in P6B:<\/p>\n
On Tuesday we began some research work on Missio and SCIAF as part of our RME work. We also had some Halloween art in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
Wednesday in writing, we created Halloween themed poems with a focus on rhythm and rhyme. In maths we worked on nets of a cube before we made our own 3D cubes. In the afternoon we went to our woodlands area to tidy, start our fire-making skills and for a bit of free play.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On Thursday we continued our Earth Heroes comprehension tasks, this week working on summaries and sequencing events. In problem solving we had a practical problem solving task involving frogs and lily pads before a written task involving fractions. In the afternoon we started preparing for our St. Andrew’s Day celebration by picking people to do reading and asking for volunteers to perform poems.<\/p>\n

Friday we had PE, an area rosary service and a small Halloween treat.<\/p>\n

Here are some pupils’ comments on their highlights of the week…<\/p>\n
Olivia: 1. Outdoor Learning because I love doing the fire stuff. 2. Friday costumes because I just love Halloween.<\/p>\n
Elvin: PE because it wasn’t as bad as last week.<\/p>\n
Mahathi: Making monsters in art because it was so fun.<\/p>\n
Georgia-Rose: Dressing up for Halloween because I liked seeing other people’s costumes.<\/p>\n
Lilly: Flint and steel because I nearly made a fire.<\/p>\n
Reesa: Flint and steel because I made a fire.<\/p>\n
Ethan: Indoor lunch because we got to play fun games.<\/p>\n
Maja: I loved using flint and steel because it was really fun and interesting.<\/p>\n
Ishaan: I loved breaking sticks for firewood because it was fun.<\/p>\n
Chikamso: PE because we did different sports.<\/p>\n
Lewis: In PE I liked corners and Halloween fruit salad because it was challenging, goofy and fun.<\/p>\n
Iha: Monsters, maths and PE because they were fun.<\/p>\n
Amariah-Grace: Flint and steel because we made a fire.<\/p>\n
Diyon: Outdoor Learning because we got to use flint and steel.<\/p>\n
Blair: PE. It was fun and we played corners.<\/p>\n
Caleb: Flint and steel because FIRE!<\/p>\n
Aaron: Outdoor Learning because we got to make fire.<\/p>\n
Evana: Maths. I liked problem solving.<\/p>\n
Amy: Going to the woodlands because we did flint and steel.<\/p>\n
Karina: I think it’s still PE because it’s fun and I liked fruit salad and corners.<\/p>\n
Sofia: Werewolves because it was so fun and it was exciting.<\/p>\n
