{"id":23775,"date":"2026-09-04T14:23:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T14:23:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/?p=23775"},"modified":"2026-09-04T14:23:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T14:23:15","slug":"primary-2-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/2026\/09\/04\/primary-2-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 2 Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Hello Everyone,<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We have had a brilliant few weeks settling into Primary 2 and have had lots of\u00a0fun learning new things!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">This week in Primary 2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In maths we learnt about 2D shapes, we made shapes out of playdough, paint and even went outside\u00a0into the woods\u00a0to make shapes out of sticks!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We started our topic &#8216;when our parents were young&#8217; and created houses we thought our parents would have lived in when they were in primary 2!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We had fun in Spanish learning about colours.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We loved playing\u00a0different\u00a0games\u00a0of tig\u00a0in P.E<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Our\u00a0Weekly Highlights\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Lincoln &#8211;\u00a0Playing toilet tig in P.E.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Bella \u2013 Going to the woodlands to make shapes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Eloran\u00a0\u2013 Printing 2D shapes with paint.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Niall \u2013 Starting our new topic and looking at photos of old technology.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A huge well done to our hot chocolate winners Monika and\u00a0Arire. Each week a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">child will be chosen for showing our school values.
