Hello families of P1A!<\/p>\n
The children are continuing to settle in to school each day and it has been a pleasure to have gotten to know them so far.\u00a0 They are growing in confidence with our routines and are beginning to make new friends.\u00a0 Each week, one of the three table groups will feed in to the weekly blog, reporting on what they have enjoyed most about their learning for that week.\u00a0 This week, we have the Red table:<\/p>\n
Maddison loved colouring in and cutting out a picture of a tree as part of our learning about Creation.\u00a0 The children have been thanking God for our beautiful world and learning about all the different things He made over the seven days of Creation.\u00a0 We watched a beautiful little video to support their understanding.\u00a0 Here it is again, in case you wanted to watch and talk about it together Bible Story Series: Genesis The Creation of World<\/a>.<\/p>\n Archie said that the best part of his week was listening to stories.\u00a0 His favourite one was, ‘Gorilla Loves Vanilla’.\u00a0 Afterwards, each of us shared our favourite flavour.<\/p>\n Emily liked practising writing her name.\u00a0 We worked hard to copy the shapes of the letters and did so on chalk boards, white boards and searching for the letters within a tray of mini magnetic letters.\u00a0 Regular practise at home will be very helpful to your child.<\/p>\n Theo loved playing with the marble run.\u00a0 This has proved to be a favourite activity with most of the class and it has been super watching the children share and work together to build creative runs.<\/p>\n Casey, like Maddison, said that the best part of his week was contributing to the Creation display.\u00a0 Casey chose a bird to colour in and cut out.<\/p>\n My favourite part of the week was watching the teamwork during ‘Tidy up Time’.\u00a0 I was amazed at their super ability to return the classroom resources to the correct place after ‘Choosing our own Leaning’ time.\u00a0 We have been learning about ‘Safe Sam’, ‘Ready Rosie’ and ‘Respectful Rahim’ and tidying up very well keeps our classroom safe.\u00a0 Thank you everyone for being respectful of our classroom resources.<\/p>\n Congratulations to our hot chocolate award winner, Luca.\u00a0 Each week, one child will be chosen for going ‘over and above’ in their behaviour and attitude.\u00a0 I hope you enjoy your yummy hot chocolate, Luca!<\/p>\n I have some beautiful photographs to share on the Blog and will do as soon as all of the parents have returned their photo consent forms.<\/p>\n The P1A blog will be updated each weekend.\u00a0 I hope you and your child enjoy looking at it together and talking about the learning that is going on in the photographs.<\/p>\n I hope you have a lovely weekend.<\/p>\n Mrs Brown<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello families of P1A!
