Hello P3 families!<\/p>\n

I cannot believe that we are heading into June already!\u00a0 Here are the learning highlights according to ‘Bathgate’:<\/p>\n

Sophia and Nathan both report that programming a beebot with directional instructions has been the best part of their week.\u00a0 The children rotated around different mats and worked together to make the beebot turn \u2018clockwise, anticlockwise, forwards and backwards\u2019.\u00a0 The children were then tasked with designing their own beebot mat and the most creative one will be used for a class based task next week.<\/p>\n

Matteo and Daisy both liked our lesson on \u2018conflict and mediation\u2019.\u00a0 We observed a chemical reaction take place between white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda as a visual for what happens when we enter the \u2018Red Zone\u2019.\u00a0 We learned strategies we could use to approach situations calmly in order to resolve them.<\/p>\n

Vikashini liked writing a recount.\u00a0 She wrote about a visit to the beach and met the success criteria of using time sequence words and past tense words.<\/p>\n

Tyler T loved making a comic strip that linked to our ‘conflict and mediation’ learning.\u00a0 We will continue working on that this coming week.\u00a0 Through this, we have revisited speech bubbles.<\/p>\n

Viaan said the highlight of his week was parachute games during PE.\u00a0 This week, each child was given the name of an angle: acute, obtuse, right and reflex.\u00a0 They ran under the parachute when their angle was called out.<\/p>\n

Rahim loved our Building Thinking Classroom session where the groups had to figure out the different combinations that different groups of shapes could come in a race.<\/p>\n

My highlight was when we went up to the local woodlands to look for and record, angles in nature.<\/p>\n
