Another fabulous week in P1A.<\/p>\n
This week we had a visit from the Fairyland Dragon who left us the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We enjoyed listening to the story and comparing it with alternative versions, such as a version told by Baby Bear. The Dragon also left us ingredients to make porridge. We tried porridge made with water and with milk and voted for our favourite. We also designed new porridge bowls for the bears and worked in groups to act out the story.<\/p>\n
We continue to consolidate our learning of sounds. We have used them this week to read and match CVC words to the correct picture. We have also made Wanted Posters to find Goldilocks for the crimes she committed at the Three Bears house.<\/p>\n
In math, we have been looking at numbers to 30, with emphasis on tens and ones to ensure we recognise the number correctly and not back to front.<\/p>\n
