The children practised writing descriptive sentences and using joining words to extend their ideas. For Word Boost, we read <em>The Ugly Duckling<\/em> and explored the meanings of the following vocabulary: <em>hatched, searched, different, protect,<\/em> and <em>flock<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy<\/strong><br \/>\nIn numeracy, P3 pupils learned how to complete column addition with regrouping, while P2 pupils explored different strategies to help them work out missing numbers in addition sums.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Signs of Winter<\/strong><br \/>\nWe continued our work on identifying signs of Winter. Each group shared their poster and delivered a short presentation to the class. They explained the Winter signs they chose to include and reflected on the teamwork skills they used to complete their posters successfully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gymnastics<\/strong><br \/>\nIn PE, we began our gymnastics block. The children enjoyed learning and practising different shapes, including the straddle, pike, and tuck.<\/p>\n<p>The children have shown excellent listening skills and worked together beautifully throughout the week. Well done to each one of them.
