<\/p>\nHello P3 families! Here are this week\u2019s learning highlights from Polar Bears:<\/p>\n
Vakashini has loved learning about how to take care of our pets.\u00a0 We discovered that pets need the care that we need too!\u00a0 They need somewhere to live, sleep, eat, drink, exercise, be able to play, receive health care if sick etc.\u00a0 Thank you to everyone so far who has sent in a photograph of their pet.<\/p>\n
Danvith liked making cards for our parents during RE to thank them for the love they show to us and telling them we will try harder to make better choices at home.<\/p>\n
Oscar LOVED our lesson on tree identification.\u00a0 We were wondering if we had a sycamore in our school woods (linked to our learning about Zacchaeus).\u00a0 We used Google Lens and discovered we had a range of trees (see photos below) but not a sycamore.<\/p>\n
Sophia liked our learning Anti-Bullying Week.\u00a0 The children made little mini superheroes with Miss Hunter to help those being bullied.<\/p>\n
Daisy enjoyed our learning about the importance of not spreading germs in this season of colds and flus.\u00a0 The children know to cough and sneeze into their elbow and the correct step to wash their hands thoroughly.\u00a0 We played \u2018Pass the glitter\u2019 and watched how black pepper (representing germs) moved away from soap.<\/p>\n
My highlight was our learning about Remembrance Day.\u00a0 The children sang a beautiful song and made poppies in an Ancient Roman mosaic style with some P6 friends.<\/p>\n
Congratulations to our hot chocolate award winner this week, Maya.<\/p>\n
Just a little reminder that we have our Sharing the Learning whole school event on Thursday 20th November either between 2-3pm or 6-7pm.\u00a0 We hope you can make it.<\/p>\n
