Numeracy Highlights: We continued working in symmetry this week. We had to draw our initials on squared paper and draw the reflected image on a vertical and horizontal axis of symmetry.<\/p>\n
We also had to find the missing numbers on a number line from 0 to 1,000,000.<\/p>\n
Literacy : We have started our new writing unit – The Information Report. For our first task, we had to identify the audience, key facts , and the purpose of an information report. We had a great discussion about whom the audience might be for the examples of information reports we were using. Our audience was not going to be ‘ people’ or\u00a0 just ‘ kids’. We came to understand that we had to be specific about the age of our audience and for these texts, our audience could also be teachers looking for good examples!<\/p>\n

Grace \u2013 I liked doing enterprise it was so much fun, we got to work as a team it was so much fun.<\/p>\n
Tiwa: I liked doing the clay beause it was so much fun to create stuff.<\/p>\n
Deveena-symmetry because she loved doing symetry<\/p>\n
Aadya loved doing information reports especially discussing whom the audience might be.<\/p>\n
Hasika- liked doing the clay art thing because it was fun to test my creativity.<\/p>\n
