What a busy week we have had in P1B!<\/p>\n

We have been learning all about numbers to 20. There was a spider covering up the number and when we said the right answer the spider ran away! It was very funny.<\/p>\n

In Literacy, we have been learning the ‘n’ sound. We have been using a spinner game to practice reading words and our letter formation.<\/p>\n

In Science, we used all our senses and made popcorn. We then tasted different flavours and made a bar graph to show our favourite.<\/p>\n

In PE, we had a football session. We played Hungry Hippos Football Style and we even got to steal footballs from the other goals.<\/p>\n

In Art, we followed instructions to draw a pumpkin.<\/p>\n

We have also been learning about Self Assessment. We had to choose our favourite piece of Literacy work from this term and put a photo on Seesaw. We then recorded a sentence about why we thought this was our best piece of work.<\/p>\n

Here are some of our personal highlights from this week:<\/p>\n

Grace – I enjoyed reading.<\/p>\n

Niall – I enjoyed tasting popcorn.<\/p>\n

Aayat – I enjoyed making the pumpkins.<\/p>\n

Amelia- I enjoyed doing Literacy.<\/p>\n

Hanna – I enjoyed reading a book.<\/p>\n

Aria – I enjoyed doing the football at PE.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Alayha who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week. She has been trying hard to write her numbers the correct way and showed confidence in saying the sounds.<\/p>\n
