{"id":22330,"date":"2025-05-25T20:54:29","date_gmt":"2025-05-25T20:54:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/?p=22330"},"modified":"2025-05-25T20:54:29","modified_gmt":"2025-05-25T20:54:29","slug":"wb-12-05-25-and-19-05-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stjohnogilvieprimary\/2025\/05\/25\/wb-12-05-25-and-19-05-25\/","title":{"rendered":"WB 12.05.25 and 19.05.25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Readers,<\/p>\n<p>The highlights of the week were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spelling work as before, together with weekly spelling assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Various Reading comprehension activities with discussion of the topics and written answers to differentiated questions.<\/li>\n<li>Finishing off own narratives following what had been taught about the structure and purpose of a narrative and also using the setting and character descriptions created in the previous weeks.<\/li>\n<li>Learning about Roman Numerals to over a 1000, attempting to write different numbers using the 7 Roman Numeral symbols and converting Roman numerals into base 10 numbers.<\/li>\n<li>Working on fractions of an amount and starting to work on fractions of a number, learning which will continue in the next weeks.<\/li>\n<li>The Story of Our Lady of Fatima including the apparitions, the Miracle of the Sun and the Three Little Shepherds &#8211; Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta.<\/li>\n<li>Continue working of Pope Francis Faith Award.<\/li>\n<li>Learning all the different steps for the election of a new Pope and making posters about this complex process for the walls of the Upper Area of the school.<\/li>\n<li>We would like to congratulate the Hot Chocolate of the last 3 weeks, Maeve, Matteo and Ishani M for setting a great example of responsibility, kindness and respect! Well done Maeve, Matteo and Ishani! \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f\ud83e\udd47\ud83e\udd47\ud83e\udd47\u2728\u2728\u2728<\/li>\n<li>Well done as well to The Points Monitors table, who won the weekly award!
