Welcome back everyone, we were so glad to see each other after our Easter Holidays and had lots of news to share.<\/p>\n

This week we have been learning the sounds igh and ng.\u00a0 We have also been practising all the sounds taught so far and our common words.<\/p>\n

Tuesday was Earth Day, we read books about helping to look after the earth and had discussions about what we can do in our homes and schools to play our part to look after the earth.\u00a0 We then wrote our ideas down for writing.\u00a0 We made a paper plate craft and added these to our writing to make a display in our area.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We looked at the importance of recycling and sorted household items into the different coloured bins.\u00a0 We watched a clip about recycling and where our rubbish goes to.<\/p>\n

In Maths we looked at numbers to 30 recognising and writing the numbers.\u00a0 We looked at tens and ones and how many tens and ones were in different numbers.<\/p>\n

In Religion we discussed Jesus rising from the death on Easter Sunday and we made an empty tomb craft to show Jesus had risen.\u00a0 We have also been thinking about Pope Francis may he rest in peace and learning the Eternal Rest Prayer.<\/p>\n

Today we went up to the Woodlands for outdoor learning we used the materials of the woodlands to create pictures on paper. \u00a0We didn\u2019t stick them down and when we were finished we returned the natural materials to the woodland floor.\u00a0 We also litter picked as part of Earth Day and to help look after our planet.<\/p>\n

Cerys \u2018 I am getting better with my counting\u2019<\/p>\n

Oskar \u2018I liked learning new songs with Celtic Croft\u2019<\/p>\n

Franek \u2018I liked learning about recycling\u2019<\/p>\n

Tiara \u2018I liked learning about tens and ones\u2019<\/p>\n

Guhan Kumar \u2018I liked making the Earth Day craft\u2019.<\/p>\n

Antosh ‘I liked playing in the woodlands’<\/p>\n
