Hello P5B Families<\/p>\n

We have reached our final week of term!\u00a0 What a super week it has been with all of our Holy Week learning.\u00a0 The children participated in some very special re-enactments of these Biblical events.<\/p>\n

Here are our \u2018best bits\u2019 according to the Red table this week:<\/p>\n

Jayden enjoyed checking to see what level the rain gauge reached.\u00a0 Due to all the lovely weather we have been enjoying this week, we were not able to see much collected.\u00a0 We are hoping for those April showers upon our return after the holiday.<\/p>\n

Olek and Scott loved the Last Supper drama.\u00a0 After each day in Holy Week being dramatized, the children then recounted the story in their jotters.<\/p>\n

Ella has continued to enjoy our class novel.\u00a0 Elsie, the main character has captivated us with all of her antics!<\/p>\n

Matthias liked learning about the Smart tech, microbit with Miss Smith.\u00a0 Microbits will be used in our Climate Smart models.<\/p>\n

Cohen LOVED working with his group to brainstorm some ideas for the model his group will be building after Easter.\u00a0 Everyone wants to win to go forward to Heriot-Watt but unfortunately only one model per class will attend.\u00a0 A real architect will decide who goes forward.\u00a0 Each group will make a presentation to them.<\/p>\n

My highlight (apart from the obvious Holy Week learning) was the joke I played on the class!\u00a0 I pretended that school budget cuts meant that we had to cut the grass with scissors!\u00a0 As they started to cut, I revealed it was an April Fools!\u00a0 They were so disappointed as they wanted to do it!\u00a0 Flynn and Rowan played a super prank too by covering the door entrance with cellophane so the kids would bounce off it.\u00a0 It went down a treat!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Addison, our Hot Chocolate award winner and to Ellie-May, our Reading Champ!<\/p>\n

I hope you all have a restful break and I will see the children back on Tuesday 22nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 We look forward to seeing what materials the children bring in on this day for building their Climate Smart models.\u00a0 If you have misplaced your letter, please see below:<\/p>\n
