We have had another busy week in P1.\u00a0 This week we have been learning the sound \u2018o\u2019.\u00a0 We can recall words that begin with \u2018o\u2019 and have been practising the formation of \u2018o\u2019.\u00a0 We made an octopus to take home and teach our families about \u2018o\u2019.\u00a0 We completed a reading\u00a0cvc\u00a0word task we worked on sounding out the letters and then sliding the sounds together to make words.<\/p>\n

This week we looked at a picture and made predictions about what might happen next.<\/p>\n

In Maths and Numeracy we looked at money coins to \u00a32.\u00a0 We can recognise coins and order them from smallest amount to largest amount.\u00a0 We used the ipads for an interactive game and money worksheets.\u00a0 We also got to handle coins.<\/p>\n

For our topic we had lots of fun measuring the length of some dinosaurs and how many of our feet we could fit into a T-rex foot print.<\/p>\n

We celebrated Remembrance Day on Monday.\u00a0 We took part in a 2 minute silence and we made a poppy to take home and also one to join together to make a class wreath.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In Religion We listened to the story of Noah\u2019s Ark and helped to sort the animals into pairs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This week was Anti Bullying Week.\u00a0 Some of us wore odd socks and we designed our own odd socks.\u00a0 We discussed the qualities of a good friend and how we can show kindness to each other.<\/p>\n

Wednesday was World Kindness Day we made a kindness poster to help spread kindness.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Today Friday all the Primary Ones went to Church to Friday Mass.\u00a0 Our teachers were very proud of how well we behaved.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This week we have started preparing for our Christmas Nativity.\u00a0 We have been learning some amazing songs and we can\u2019t wait for you to hear them at our Christmas show.<\/p>\n

Tiara \u2018I liked playing in the area\u2019<\/p>\n

Cerys \u2018I liked going to Church\u2019<\/p>\n

Arush \u2018I liked playing\u2019<\/p>\n

Lena \u2018I liked making the octopus\u2019<\/p>\n

Felix \u2018I liked playing with the home corner in the area\u2019<\/p>\n

Daniel \u2018I liked having extra playtime\u2019<\/p>\n
