Hello P3A families,<\/p>\n

Here are this week\u2019s highlights from the Blue table:<\/p>\n

Chahiti has been enjoying making her tote bag.\u00a0 She is making it out of an old pink t-shirt. \u00a0Thank you to all who donated items for this Earth Day project!\u00a0 Each day a few children will make it with Mrs Brown\u2019s help during \u2018Choosing our own Learning\u2019 time in the afternoons.\u00a0 Hopefully it won\u2019t be long until all who has made one has finished.\u00a0 We have had some super ideas as to how these tote bags will be used.\u00a0 They will be some children\u2019s swimming bags, gymnastics bags, Judo bags and some are making it for their parents to use!<\/p>\n

Ethan has enjoyed listening to the personal talks this week.\u00a0 Those who opted for this activity have delivered most interesting talks.\u00a0 The children have been working hard on making eye contact and projecting their voice when speaking in front of an audience.\u00a0 If your child still wishes to deliver a personal talk then it is not too late!\u00a0 They only need to let me know.<\/p>\n

Rory said the highlight of his week was football with Miss Whyte who very generously bought trophies for the children!\u00a0 They were awarded to those who demonstrated good teamwork and passes in the game.<\/p>\n

Alicaj enjoyed observing some white roses each day to see if they changed colour!\u00a0 The children have been learning about the role of the stem.\u00a0 We set up some water containing coloured food dye and have watched as the petals received this water and turned it a different colour!\u00a0 The stem acted a bit like a straw!<\/p>\n

My highlight was our lessons on how we can reduce our carbon footprint!\u00a0 The children were very passionate about this subject and are hoping to educate their parents on how we can all take better care of God\u2019s beautiful world for future generations by acting now!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Jiade, our hot chocolate award winner this week!<\/p>\n

Lead Learners were Alicaj and Grace.\u00a0 They had the important role of looking out for people who were demonstrating our school rules of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.\u00a0 They also get to say something extra for the blog:<\/p>\n

Alicaj \u2013 \u201cI liked playing Rounders in the PE hall.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grace \u2013 \u201cI liked writing the Earth Day poems.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maths homework next week will be sent home on paper.\u00a0 It links a health lesson on the importance of sleep with our learning about Time.\u00a0 The following week it will be National Screen Free Week.\u00a0 All homework for P3A will be paper versions that week in light of this.<\/p>\n
