Hello P3A families,<\/p>\n

Here are this week\u2019s highlights from the Red table:<\/p>\n

Jack enjoyed football with Miss White and scored a penalty!\u00a0 Well done Jack!<\/p>\n

Tvisha and Caiden both said the best part of their week was learning about the 4 Times Tables.\u00a0 The children are improving at counting by 4s from memory and have especially enjoyed the song with the tune from \u2018I\u2019m Still Standing\u2019 found here: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8QU_E0u-tP4<\/a><\/p>\n

Hafsah has liked the start of our new \u2018Conservation of Wildlife\u2019 topic.\u00a0 We learned that some animals are in danger of becoming extinct and that means they are \u2018endangered\u2019.\u00a0 Through the WWF website, we discovered the top ten endangered animals.\u00a0 This week we researched two, mountain gorillas and African forest elephants and wrote information reports about them.\u00a0 Hafsah enjoyed the videos we watched were we took notes to inform our reports.\u00a0\u00a0 These can be found here: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rHhSCO5-3Pg<\/a> and https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Fk3VdpuFx0Q<\/a><\/p>\n

Grace loved listening to a story called \u2018The Singing Mermaid\u2019 as we cooled down with our water bottle after PE.<\/p>\n

Tadwia has continued to enjoy the heroes of Troy lessons during music with Mrs Morrison.<\/p>\n

Deveena loves our new \u2018Word of the Day\u2019 resource.\u00a0 We practise saying the word and discuss its meaning during our snack.\u00a0 She loved Friday\u2019s word, \u00a0\u2018impeccable\u2019.<\/p>\n

Zion continues to enjoy lessons about Lent.\u00a0 The children were reminded what their Lenten promise was and are working hard to sacrifice this as they remembered Jesus\u2019 time in the desert.<\/p>\n

Jiade loved benchball.\u00a0 For the remainder of the term, P3A will be developing their bat and ball skills during PE.<\/p>\n

My highlight was our visit to St Peter\u2019s Church on Friday.\u00a0 The children were very respectful and were amazing ambassadors for our school.\u00a0 Mrs McLaughlin was very impressed that the children knew the words to the Our Father so well and could say the prayer reverently, conveying the meaning in their slow pace.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Laura, our hot chocolate award winner this week!<\/p>\n

Lead Learners were Ollie and Caleb.\u00a0 They had the important role of looking out for people who were demonstrating our school rules of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.\u00a0 They also get to say something extra for the blog:<\/span><\/p>\n

Caleb: “I liked learning about mountain gorillas.”<\/p>\n

Ollie: “Me too!<\/p>\n
