Hello P3A families,<\/p>\n

Here are this week\u2019s highlights from the yellow Table:<\/p>\n

Viven enjoyed trying some \u2018soft g\u2019 foods as part of her phonics lesson.\u00a0 The options to try were: vegetables, gingerbread men and oranges.\u00a0 She enjoyed the vegetable sugar snap peas best.<\/p>\n

Riley and Linda both reported that building Linlithgow Palace was the learning highlight of their week.\u00a0 Linda built hers using a cardboard box and Riley built his with lego.\u00a0 Linlithgow Palace is a landmark of West Lothian.<\/p>\n

Aadya liked demonstrating her understanding of what the 4 times tables looked like.\u00a0 She discovered that the answers were double to answers to the 2 times table.\u00a0 Well spotted Aadya!<\/p>\n

Olivia loved making a leaflet about restaurants in West Lothian.\u00a0 Her team worked well together to research restaurants.\u00a0 They included useful information such as the address, opening hours, pictures of the food and their website.\u00a0 Good job!<\/p>\n

Ollie said the best part of his week was the football after school club.<\/p>\n

Diana loved making the word \u2018gems\u2019 with gems as part of soft g learning.\u00a0 The words looked very sparkly!<\/p>\n

My highlight was our RE lesson about The Good Samaritan as part of \u2018God\u2019s Loving Plan\u2019.\u00a0 The children could recall many Bible stories prior to the learning.\u00a0 After listening to the story, they acted it out and then accompanied various words from the story to movement.\u00a0 We call this \u2018Story Massage\u2019.\u00a0 Ask your child to show you the different massage movements.\u00a0 They included: Fan, Walk, Sprinkle, Circle, Wave and Calm.\u00a0 The children enjoyed this relaxing exercise so much that we hope to build it in to a lesson in the near future!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Aadya, our hot chocolate award winner this week!<\/p>\n

Lead Learners were Diana and Chahiti.\u00a0 They had the important role of looking out for people who were demonstrating our school rules of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.\u00a0 They also get to say something extra for the blog:<\/p>\n

Linda – \u201cI liked going to the cloakroom and telling the teacher who was being sensible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Caiden – \u201cI liked football with Miss White.\u201d<\/p>\n
