<\/p>\nGood Afternoon,<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve had another very busy week in Primary 2!<\/p>\n
On Thursday, we had great fun celebrating Burns Day.\u00a0 In the morning, we wrote amazing stories about finding the Loch Ness Monster.\u00a0 We worked hard to use interesting sentence openers in our work.\u00a0 Then, in the afternoon, we had a Burns Supper in the area.\u00a0 We tried haggis, neeps and tatties, sang Scottish songs, and some of children stood up and recited their Scots poems, out loud, in front of everyone! Superstars that they are!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In Maths and Numeracy, we continued to learn about money.\u00a0 This week we were finding the total value of different groups of coins and looking at different ways to make the same total.\u00a0 We also continued working on our subtraction skills.<\/p>\n
We are still having fantastic fun playing in our caf\u00e9 and the children are always coming up with new creative ideas for it.<\/p>\n
Highlights of the Week:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Enso: I liked writing a story about the Loch Ness monster.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n Summer:\u00a0 I loved the Burns afternoon and I said my poem with my friends in front of a big audience! <\/em><\/p>\n Cameron:\u00a0 I liked making the tartan kilts with the paper.<\/em><\/p>\n Dineli:\u00a0 I enjoyed learning about money and coins.<\/em><\/p>\n Luca: I liked free writing Friday.<\/em><\/p>\n Huge congratulations to our hot chocolate Friday winner this week, Vedansh! \u00a0Vedansh has been working extremely hard to meet his learning targets and has been very helpful around the classroom!\u00a0 We are very proud of you Vedansh!<\/p>\n Our Reading champion this week is Cameron, who has been trying really hard to improve his reading skills.\u00a0 Well done Cameron!<\/p>\n Have a great weekend everyone!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Good Afternoon, We\u2019ve had another very busy week in Primary 2!
