Good Afternoon Families,<\/p>\n

We are not sure if the children have told you, but our very own Ogilvie Bear is travelling around the world.\u00a0 He arrived in America this week and has been sending us messages about where he is and what he has been doing.\u00a0 The children coloured American flags, took a virtual trip to Disney and decorated their own Mickey Mouse ears.<\/p>\n

In Literacy, we focused on the ‘sh\u2019 and \u2018th’ sounds.\u00a0 We also did a piece of writing about our favourite place.\u00a0 We continued to work on trying to remember to use full stops, capital letters and finger spaces.\u00a0 We also asked the children to use a joining word to connect their ideas.\u00a0 We were very impressed with the writing produced!<\/p>\n

In Maths and Numeracy, we continued to investigate 3D shapes.\u00a0 The children were naming and sorting different 3D shapes, and we went on a 3D shape hunt around the school grounds.<\/p>\n

Highlights of the Week:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vedansh:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>I liked trying to join my letters together in handwriting.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lillian:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>I loved decorating my Mickey Mouse ears.<\/em><\/p>\n

Luca:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>I enjoyed free writing Friday, I wrote about monsters!<\/em><\/p>\n

Enso:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>I liked learning new words in Word Boost.<\/em><\/p>\n

Filip:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>I liked working with Miss Smith on my literacy.<\/em><\/p>\n

Connor:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>I liked searching for 3D shapes outside.<\/em><\/p>\n

Summer:<\/em><\/strong> I liked getting letters from Ogilvie Bear.<\/em><\/p>\n

Huge congratulation to our hot chocolate Friday winner this week, Vasilisa! \u00a0She is always hard working and extremely helpful!\u00a0 We are very proud of you Vasilisa!<\/p>\n
