Hello P2B families!<\/p>\n

Here are our highlights from the Green Table:<\/p>\n

TJ enjoyed our Mindfulness lesson during Health this week.\u00a0 The children, once again, have been learning about their feelings and strategies for how to get \u2018Back to Green\u2019.\u00a0 This week we learned about Mindfulness.\u00a0 We know that means to slow down and pay attention to what is around us.\u00a0 We examined our fingers and veins as a means of paying attention to what was around us and slowly walked around the room to see if we could spot something that we never noticed before.\u00a0 Sometimes our brains can feel like there is a storm in there, so we need to calm the waves down.\u00a0 Mindfulness is one way of doing this.<\/p>\n

Eli liked our final Magic e lesson this week.\u00a0 This time it was with the vowel ‘u’.\u00a0 He liked the word \u2018cube\u2019 best.\u00a0 Next week we will explore other spelling patterns that also make this sound (ew and ue).<\/p>\n

Lilly loved making our April Showers pictures.\u00a0 We hope to send these home next week.<\/p>\n

Sofia loved playing with the loose parts in the outdoor sheds.\u00a0 She enjoyed the tyres best.<\/p>\n

Karina said the best part of her week was our learning about dividing.\u00a0 We know that this means sharing equally.\u00a0 We discovered that Multiplication and Division are linked!\u00a0 For example, 2×6=12 and 12 \u00f7 6=2!\u00a0 The same digits are used.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mrs Devlin\u2019s favourite part of the week was our maths lesson on Area.\u00a0 The first item we found the area of was our jotter.\u00a0 Once we fully covered it in cubes, we wondered how we were going to count all of them without getting ourselves in a muddle as there were quite a lot of cubes!\u00a0 Theo was a clever clogs and discovered that each row had 10 cubes so we could count in tens!\u00a0 Mrs Devlin and P2B were very impressed!\u00a0 Well done Theo!\u00a0 We are going to be learning about the 10 Times Tables soon.\u00a0 Our ability to count in tens is really going to help us.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Georgia-Rose, our Hot Chocolate award winner for this week!<\/p>\n

I hope you enjoy the long weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.\u00a0 I can\u2019t believe we our in our final term already!<\/p>\n
