Here are our highlights from the Red Table:<\/p>\n
Aaron always looks forward to our Word Boost corners game to round up our learning that week.\u00a0 His favourite word was \u201ctour\u201d.\u00a0 He was telling us that he went on a tour in Spain once and learned a lot about famous places there.<\/p>\n
Amy enjoyed our leaning in Maths about how + and \u2013 are linked.\u00a0 Look out for a photograph of Karina demonstrating this to us.<\/p>\n
Ressa said the best part of her week was our story writing.\u00a0 We had been examining a Narrative called \u2018Big Cat, Little Cat\u2019 and then the children wrote their very own!\u00a0 Ressa chose the title \u2018Big, Dog, Little Dog\u2019 and wrote about a dog that got sick because it ate too many Easter eggs!\u00a0 It had to receive dog medicine from the vet.<\/p>\n
Emily-Ann loved peeling carrots.\u00a0 As a follow up to learning how carrots grow, we visited Morrisons and bought some.\u00a0 Emily-Ann had the opportunity to scan them herself and practise being a cashier!\u00a0 It was very exciting!\u00a0 Mrs Devlin demonstrated how a bank card works to pay for items.\u00a0 We look forward to growing our own carrots in March!\u00a0 The next day, we all had a turn to peel part of a carrot and then enjoyed them with hummus.\u00a0 A delicious healthy snack!<\/p>\n
Ciara continued to enjoy our \u2018Guess the Baby\u2019 game as part of our learning about how our needs change as we grow.\u00a0 We guessed Ciara straight away!<\/p>\n
Georgia-Rose liked our walk around our local area to spot places to work.\u00a0 I was so proud of how well behaved all the children were as they represented our school.\u00a0 Well done everyone!\u00a0 Next week we will talk about what we want to be when we grow up and what skills we would need to do that job.<\/p>\n
Mrs Devlin\u2019s favourite part of the week was our handwriting lesson.\u00a0 The children were very enthusiastic to learn that they were starting big P3 joined up writing.\u00a0 We practised forming u and n together and listed words that would require us to join these letters together: fun, gun, bun, run and sun are the words we came up with.<\/p>\n
