Another busy week in P1B.\u00a0 This week we have learned the sound u.\u00a0 We also focused on revision and blending our learned sounds together to make words.\u00a0 We matched pictures to the correct word and were able to write the word for pictures by sounding out the sounds and sliding them together.<\/p>\n

We read a story about a fat cat on a mat.\u00a0 In writing we wrote a sentence about the cat and continued to work on using a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop at the end of our sentence.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We have loved working on our Space Station and Space Rockets during \u2018Choosing our Own Learning\u2019.\u00a0 We worked together and decorated them using foil and a variety of media.\u00a0 We also made our own space helmets.\u00a0 This week we learned about the planets.\u00a0 We know there are eight planets in our Solar System.<\/p>\n

We have loved using the craft and construction areas and creating amazing models and master pieces.<\/p>\n

We have continued learning about subtraction.\u00a0 We have used concrete materials to physically take away and we have also used a number line and jumped backwards.<\/p>\n

We measured using our hands and cubes to see how long items were.<\/p>\n

We have been working really hard on our Nativity Songs and we\u00a0can\u2019t wait for you all to hear them.<\/p>\n

Azmeer \u2018I liked playing in the Rockets\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Victoria \u2018I loved playing with the I pads\u2019<\/p>\n

Rose \u2018I liked playing in the Reading Tent\u2019<\/p>\n
