Hello P2B families!<\/p>\n

Welcome back after our October holiday.\u00a0 I swear the children have grown!\u00a0 Despite our short week, we have been busy bees!\u00a0 Here are our learning highlights from the Blue Table:<\/p>\n

Blair said the best part of his week was meeting our special friend, \u2018Even the Owl\u2019.\u00a0 Even only likes to eat numbers that end in 2, 4, 6, 8 or 0.\u00a0 He thinks the others taste too odd!\u00a0 A bit like eating stinky socks!\u00a0 We sang a song to the tune of \u2018Bingo\u2019 were the lyrics were, \u201cThere was a farmer had an owl, and Even was his name oh.\u00a0 2, 4, 6, 8, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 0 and Even was his name Oh<\/em>!\u201d\u00a0 If the children sang the song very well, then Even jumped really high at \u201cOh<\/em>!\u201d\u00a0 We had a competition to see if the girls or the boys sang it the best.\u00a0 It was a draw!<\/p>\n

Karina shared that she loved the Even and Odd hunt around the school.\u00a0 The children worked with a partner to find numbers within their environment.\u00a0 They then had a chat to decide if it was Even or Odd and then wrote it in the right column on their worksheet.\u00a0 They discovered numbers all over the school\u2026.on microwaves, on clocks, on posters, on photocopiers, on classroom doors are to name a few.\u00a0 Super teamwork everyone!<\/p>\n

Sofia enjoyed making her Morph animation on the StopMotion app.\u00a0 We are now concluding our topic of \u2018When our Grandparents were Young\u2019.\u00a0 Look out for our homework interview task on Seesaw next week where the children will be invited to interview a grandparent (or relative of that age) and learn more about life when they were young.\u00a0 If you need extra time for this homework task then this is not a problem.\u00a0 It will remain on Seesaw for a few weeks.<\/p>\n

Lilly said her highlight was when we decorated our grandparent templates using material to give them clothes.\u00a0 We saw some lovely scarves and waistcoats for our grandparents!<\/p>\n

Eli recounted that hearing \u2018Stick Man\u2019, our Word Boost story, was the best part of his week.\u00a0 He liked the word \u2018Chuckle\u2019 best.<\/p>\n

Mrs Devlin\u2019s favourite part of the week was listening to some 70s music.\u00a0 Some songs included hits from The Bay City Rollers, The Beatles and Abba.<\/p>\n
