Hello P2B families!<\/p>\n

Here are the learning highlights of the week from the Red and Green Tables:<\/p>\n

Ollie said the best part of his week was when we were counting in twos during Maths.\u00a0 He did a super job organising a pile of socks into pairs and counting in twos to find out how many there were altogether.\u00a0 He discovered that counting in twos is quicker than counting in ones!<\/p>\n

Ishaan absolutely loved watching a cartoon his grandparent may of watched called, \u2018Morph\u2019.\u00a0 We then using the app \u2018Stop Motion\u2019 to create our very own Morph cartoons!\u00a0 We manipulated playdoh to create different freeze frames that the app then put together to form a short film.\u00a0 They were super!\u00a0 Some children still need to make theirs as we ran out of time.<\/p>\n

Maya liked playing \u2018Green Light, Red Light\u2019 during PE with Mrs Laffterty.<\/p>\n

Olivia said the favourite part of her week was revising the \u2018ch\u2019 sound.\u00a0 We discovered that \u2018tch\u2019 makes the same sound too and mostly comes after a vowel at the end of words.\u00a0 She liked cutting coin shapes out and sticking them into a piggy bank that contained that sound.<\/p>\n

Lewis loved our lesson about Capacity.\u00a0 The children learned that the packaging of liquids tell you exactly how much liquid is in the bottle.\u00a0 In P2 we focus on litres and half litres.\u00a0 The children guessed the capacity of different sized containers and then compared their results withour findings after we actually filled them with a measuring jug that held one litre.<\/p>\n

Evana said the best part of her week was watching the Morph cartoon.\u00a0 They can be found on Youtube but the one we watched can be found here: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bgeUu8pXDeY&t=453s<\/a><\/p>\n

Safaa liked the game we played linked to our learning about the \u2018tch\u2019 sound.\u00a0 We had to throw a ball or beanbag up into the air and catch <\/strong>it when we heard a word that ended with this sound.\u00a0 Safaa was one of the winners!<\/p>\n

Theo enjoyed the Autumn art we completed this week.\u00a0 Look out for your child\u2019s beautiful Autumn art on Seesaw over the weekend!<\/p>\n

Amariah-Grace chose the House Group winners reward as her \u2018best bit\u2019 of the week as she was in the winning house, St Filan!\u00a0 The winners enjoyed a movie in the Hall with snacks.<\/p>\n

Mrs Devlin\u2019s highlight was when we talked about the changes we see all around during the season of Autumn, Mrs Devlin\u2019s favourite season.\u00a0 We marvelled at the beauty of God\u2019s world at this time of year.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to TJ, our Hot Chocolate award winner this week!<\/p>\n

I hope you all enjoy the break and I will see you all back to school on Wednesday 19th<\/sup>!\u00a0 I cannot believe we are at the end of Term One already!\u00a0 Before we know it, it will be Christmas!\u00a0 How time flies when you are having fun!<\/p>\n
