It\u2019s been another fantastic week in P2A.\u00a0 The children have been super busy and lots of learning has taken place!<\/p>\n
In literacy we have been focusing on the \u2018ch\u2019 and \u2018tch\u2019 sounds and the children completed lots of fun tasks to practise reading and writing these sounds in different words.\u00a0 In writing, the children used their imagination to write about what they will do when they are a grandparent.\u00a0 They come up with some very interesting ideas, from learning to ice skate to spending their days drinking coffee and eating cake.<\/p>\n
In Maths, we continued to practise counting in 2\u2019s, 5\u2019s and 10\u2019s in preparation for learning the times tables.\u00a0 We also learned about capacity, in particular how we measure liquids using litres and half litres.<\/p>\n
We learned in topic about an animated TV programme from the 70\u2019s called Morph.\u00a0 We then used the ipads and playdough to create our very own Morph animations.<\/p>\n

Jiade \u2013 I loved making a Morph animation, it was great fun!<\/em><\/p>\n Diana \u2013 I liked making myself as a granny because it was so fun!<\/em><\/p>\n Caiden \u2013 I liked writing about what I will do when I am a Grandpa.<\/em><\/p>\n Riley \u2013 I liked watching the movie in the hall because my house won the most house points.<\/em><\/p>\n Aadya – I loved learning about capacity and playing in the water, filling the tubs and seeing how many of one could fit into another.<\/em><\/p>\n Zion \u2013 I enjoyed free writing Friday.\u00a0 I wrote about going on holiday.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Big congratulations to our Hot Chocolate Friday winner, Zion!\u00a0 He very much deserves the recognition for always working hard and being kind and friendly to others.\u00a0 What a star!<\/p>\n We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and we look forward to seeing the children for the next term of Primary 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It\u2019s been another fantastic week in P2A.\u00a0 The children have been super busy and lots of learning has taken place!
