This week we have been learning all about the \u2018m\u2019 sound. We have been making \u2018m\u2019 using marshmallows and writing it in our jotters.\u00a0 We also had a game where we had to feed the monkey pictures of items that started with \u2018m\u2019.\u00a0 In writing, we learned to write the word \u2018I\u2019 and we wrote a sentence about what we loved.<\/p>\n

In maths, we have been learning to write the numbers 4 and 5. We made 5 using the loose parts in the classroom, it was great fun!\u00a0 We have also started to learn about identifying numbers before and after. We got to use the fly swat to hit the correct numbers.<\/p>\n

This week we made our own friendship soup.\u00a0 We got to put the different ingredients that we knew made a good friend. These included being kind, helping others, sharing and telling an adult if something happened to our friends. We also read the story of A Little Spot of Love and drew pictures on a big heart to show how we can grow a love spot.<\/p>\n

We have started to use Seesaw in class to show our learning and we learned how to log in on the iPads. We know it is important to sign out when we are finished.<\/p>\n

Harald \u2013 I liked playing with the trains.<\/p>\n

Olga \u2013 I liked drawing outside.<\/p>\n

Lillian \u2013 I liked doing my \u2018m\u2019 sound.<\/p>\n

Aarav \u2013 I liked building houses with the straws.<\/p>\n

Vasilisa \u2013 I liked drawing.<\/p>\n

Vedansh \u2013 I liked playing with the Numberblocks.<\/p>\n

Miss Stebbing – I was very impressed by all the great writing this week and how everyone tried their best to write \u2018I\u2019 and the letter \u2018m\u2019.\u00a0 I also enjoyed being served lots of different food and smoothies during Choosing Our Own Learning time!<\/p>\n
