Hello P2B families!<\/p>\n

P2B have been settling back in to school very well.<\/p>\n

Here are the learning highlights of the week from the Blue Table:<\/p>\n

Evana said the best part of her week was maths.\u00a0 This week the children have been learning not only to read larger numbers up to 100 but also to understand their value.\u00a0 Each child chose a number from the 10s column of the 100 square to explore with numicon pieces.\u00a0 Evana chose the number 30.\u00a0 She knows that 30 means 3 groups of 10.<\/p>\n

Karina enjoyed our time in the woodland.\u00a0 We revised how to keep safe in the woods and had some free play.<\/p>\n

Reesa loved playing \u2018Corners\u2019 as a way to revises our Word Boost words.\u00a0 Congratulations to Aaron, our winner!<\/p>\n

Sofia said she loved playing with the shells.\u00a0 This week we revised the \u2018sh\u2019 sound.\u00a0 She could hear the sea by putting one to her ear!<\/p>\n

TJ\u2019s highlight was our Word Boost story \u2018The Storm\u2019.\u00a0 His favourite word was \u2018gale\u2019.<\/p>\n

Lilly also enjoyed \u2018The Storm\u2019 as the best part of her week.\u00a0 We took beanbags out to the playground and hurled them across the grass!<\/p>\n

Blair liked dinnertime this week.\u00a0 His favourite food was a burger.<\/p>\n

Mrs Devlin\u2019s highlight was \u2018Meet and Greet\u2019 as part of our morning routine.\u00a0 I have never played as many \u2018Rock, Paper, Scissors\u2019 games in my life!\u00a0 The children can chose to \u2018smile\u2019, \u2018hug\u2019, \u2018wave\u2019, \u2018foot tap\u2019, \u2018Rock, Paper, Scissors\u2019 or \u2018elbow bump\u2019 when they come in in the morning to greet their teacher.\u00a0 What a lovely way to start the day!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Siya, our Hot Chocolate award winner this week who we also sadly say goodbye to as she is moving school.\u00a0 We wish her luck at this exciting time.\u00a0 She will always be part of our St John Ogilvie family.<\/p>\n
