Hello P2A families!<\/p>\n

Here are the learning highlights of the week from the Green Table:<\/p>\n

Nathan enjoyed making a \u2018Save our Oceans\u2019 poster with a partner.\u00a0 Wednesday was \u2018World Oceans Day!\u2019\u00a0 We have been learning about what we can do to help take care of life below water (Global Goal 14).<\/p>\n

Emily liked learning about Mother Teresa and how she helped the sick.\u00a0 We learned how she won the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition for all her good works.\u00a0 Mother Teresa was called \u2018Agnes\u2019 at birth.\u00a0 We designed a medal for her.<\/p>\n

Ben enjoyed our continued learning about The Zones of Regulation.\u00a0 We did some \u2018Whale Breathing (linked to World Oceans Day) to help us get to the Green Zone.<\/p>\n

Isabel said her favourite part of this week were the maths stations we had to revise addition.<\/p>\n

Lucas loved our learning about digestion.\u00a0 We learned that food gives us the energy we need to move.\u00a0 Once it goes into our mouth, it goes on a long journey, a bit like a rollercoaster ride.\u00a0 We watched an AMAZING video showing food inside a stomach.\u00a0 We then made our own stomachs using a small bag as the stomach, crackers for the food and lemonade to act as the digestive juices.\u00a0 It looked \u201cdisgusting\u201d according to our little learners!<\/p>\n

Kayla liked working in the Area with a group independently.\u00a0 They completed a comprehension activity called \u2018Getting Dressed\u2019.<\/p>\n

Mrs Devlin\u2019s highlight was our note-taking lesson.\u00a0 The children listened to lots of information about different sea creatures and had to make notes.\u00a0 We heard about penguins, sharks, narwhals and octopuses.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Ben, our Hot Chocolate award winner this week!<\/p>\n

We also want to wish Ollie luck as he travels to America next week for the U.S. Kids World Championship Golf competition!\u00a0 What an achievement!\u00a0 We, at St John Ogilvie, are all so proud of him and look forward to hearing all about his trip! \ud83c\udfcc\ufe0f\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\ud83c\udfc6\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8<\/p>\n
