Hello P2A families!<\/p>\n

Here are the learning highlights of the week from the Green and Red Table:<\/p>\n

Kayla loved learning the months of the year in Spanish.\u00a0 We discovered that all the months, apart from January, have the same spelling at the start as the English spelling.\u00a0 How interesting!\u00a0 The children enjoyed singing along and having to sit down and stand up when their birth month came around.\u00a0 Here is the link to the song if your child would like to practise them at home:\u00a0https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IKznbHvPFwc<\/a><\/p>\n

Nathan loved the challenge of building a bridge for the Three Billy Goats to cross.\u00a0 The challenge was that it had to hold the weight of 3 stones (that represented the goats) for 5 seconds.\u00a0 Nathan\u2019s team was successful!\u00a0 Well done guys!<\/p>\n

Emily said the highlight of her week was PE with Mrs Lafferty where they were seeing how far they could throw javelins.<\/p>\n

Julia enjoyed our PM writing sessions this week.\u00a0 We moved on to learning how to write narratives.<\/p>\n

Chiji liked our Number Talks.\u00a0 This week we continued to work in partners to estimate a given number of items in a jar and then use clues to work out the exact number, such as \u201cThe number is more than 42 but less than 60\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 We had a 100 square to help us.<\/p>\n

David S said his favourite lesson was looking a famous bridges from around the world.\u00a0 He recognised our very own \u2018Forth Rail Bridge\u2019.<\/p>\n

Joe loved finding out that he was this fortnight\u2019s Reading Champion!\u00a0 Congratulations Joe!<\/p>\n

John like playing Common Word Bingo, especially as he won!<\/p>\n

Babafola said his favourite lesson was on the Zones of Regulation.\u00a0 We continued to focus on the Green Zone \u2013 the zone our body likes to be in and how we can get back to Green.\u00a0 For more information about these zones, check out: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=b1cnNsTPRaA<\/a><\/p>\n

My highlight was watching the super teamwork that went on during the bridge challenge activity.\u00a0 I felt so proud to see everyone working together, listening to one another and helping one another.\u00a0 Well done P2A!<\/p>\n
