It has been another very busy week in p1B.<\/p>\n

We had another visit from the Friendly Dragon from Fairyland.\u00a0 He was very excited to see the leaves we made last week and used them to make a magical beanstalk in our classroom.\u00a0 He also left us Castle Books to put all our learning about Fairyland in to keep it safe.\u00a0 We decorated our castle books drawing lots of different fairy tale characters.\u00a0 We have also been writing letters and drawing pictures for the Dragon and posting them in our ‘D Mail’ post box.<\/p>\n

In Literacy this week we continued to practise our sounds and common words.\u00a0 We also completed a piece of persuasive writing.\u00a0 We had to decide if Jack should choose the hen or the golden harp to take from the Giant’s castle.\u00a0 Mrs Russell was very impressed with all our hard work.<\/p>\n

In Art we created our own beanstalk using pencils and crayons.\u00a0 We used cotton wool for the clouds and added a photograph of ourselves.\u00a0 It looked like we were climbing up our own magical beanstalk.\u00a0 We have them displayed in the area outside our classroom.<\/p>\n

In Maths and Numeracy we have been counting in 2’s and 10’s.\u00a0 We are learning some counting songs which is making it lots of fun.\u00a0 We\u00a0also looked at addition and subtraction sums as well.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Lilly who is this week’s Hot Chocolate winner.<\/p>\n

Safaa is our Reading Champion and well done to the Green Table who won the most table points this week.<\/p>\n

We hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and we can’t wait for Tuesday to see if anything magical has happened in our classroom or if we receive a letter from the Dragon again.<\/p>\n
