This week we have been celebrating our SJO Book Week.\u00a0 The children have been involved in lots of activities to try to promote and encourage reading.\u00a0 This has included a whole school book project on the book \u2018Bloom\u2019, a collaborative writing project where we worked together to write a new chapter for a book each day and also making bookmarks for another class in our school.<\/p>\n

Some of the children made book characters using spoons, here are a few examples:<\/p>\n

On Thursday we celebrated the feast day of Saint John Ogilvie.\u00a0 We learned all about his life and took part in a lovely online mass with Fr Simon.\u00a0 Then on Friday, we received a very special treat of a cupcake and some juice to celebrate!<\/p>\n

On Friday we brought lots of loose change to school for SCIAF.\u00a0 We brought so many pennies, we managed to cover 6 maps of Malawi!<\/p>\n

Millie \u2013 Making a book mark for another class for world book day<\/em><\/p>\n

Jonah \u2013 Doing activities relating to the book Bloom.\u00a0 I liked making the flower pictures.<\/em><\/p>\n

Aiden \u2013 Choosing the EPIC book winner.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mia \u2013 Getting a treat for SJO feast day!<\/em><\/p>\n

Matteo \u2013 learning the 4 times table.<\/em><\/p>\n

Paige \u2013 Learning about bar charts and Venn diagrams<\/em><\/p>\n
