This week in P1B:<\/p>\n

In math, we were consolidating our learning of teen numbers to 20. We had great fun playing a game of Bingo and Guess the Number. We also learned about lines of symmetry.<\/p>\n

We enjoyed learning the new sound \u2018qu\u2019 and practising all our learned sounds. For Book Talk, we read the story \u2018Peace at Last\u2019, recalling what noises in the story kept Mr Bear awake. We worked on our listening skills to guess where bear was hiding in a house using sound clues.<\/p>\n

Amariah-Grace – I enjoyed learning sounds.<\/p>\n

Evana – I liked learning about predictions.<\/p>\n

Aaron – I have enjoyed listening times.<\/p>\n

Reesa – I liked blending sounds and making words.<\/p>\n

We celebrated Chinese New Year making dragons and tiger masks. Mrs Russell made us some noodles to try.<\/p>\n

There was lots of learning through play, from building computer stations with big blocks, painting rainbows and volcanoes, playing in the Post Office role play area to drawing and cutting out.<\/p>\n

TJ – I liked building marble runs.<\/p>\n

Olivia – I liked stamping letters.<\/p>\n

Amy – I liked tidying up.<\/p>\n
