In phonics we have been learning about the letters \u2018qu\u2019 and \u2018y\u2019.\u00a0 We now know all of the single sounds so we are going to keep practising making words.\u00a0 In writing, we were writing sentences about Chinese New Year.\u00a0 Some people wrote three sentences!<\/p>\n
In maths we have been doing our take away sums.\u00a0 We are getting very good at using different strategies.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday we celebrated Chinese New Year.\u00a0 We have a Chinese Restaurant role play area and we have been making lots of different food.\u00a0 We tasted prawn crackers. We even tried using chopsticks to pick up pom poms.<\/p>\n
