Hello P2A families!<\/p>\n

Here are the learning highlights of the week from the Red Table:<\/p>\n

Julia like making \u2018Magic e wands\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0 This week the children have been learning how magic e transforms short vowel sounds into their long names.\u00a0 We were focusing on words with the vowel \u2018a\u2019.<\/p>\n

Joe enjoyed our lessons about \u2018weight\u2019 and knows that 500grams=1\/2kilogram and 1000grams=1 kilogram.\u00a0 He weighed different food items and watched as the dial on the scale showed how heavy that item was.<\/p>\n

Aiden S said he loved the lesson about electrical safety at home.\u00a0 Look out for pictures over the weekend on Seesaw of your child showing us their understanding of this important learning.\u00a0 Here is the link in case your child would like to play the game again: https:\/\/www.switchedonkids.org.uk\/electrical-safety-in-your-home<\/a><\/p>\n

David K liked our Word Boost story \u2018Stick Man\u2019 this week and his favourite word to learn about was, \u2018chuckle\u2019.\u00a0 We played \u2018Word Boost Corners\u2019 as part of our learning.\u00a0 It was so much fun! Congratulations to Julia who won.<\/p>\n

Zosia liked our lesson about \u2018The Holy Spirit\u2019 and knows that The Holy Spirit is part of God and Jesus and in the Bible, takes the form of a dove and a flame.\u00a0 We can pray to The Holy Spirit too.<\/p>\n

Chiji loved music with Mrs Morrison.\u00a0 The children continued their learning about Scottish traditional music.<\/p>\n

David S enjoyed handwriting.\u00a0 The children are learning to write joined up!\u00a0 So far they have learned how to join, \u2018un\u2019 and \u2018ig\u2019.\u00a0 They had the choice of forming these letters in salt, water colours, on paint bags and wrote them on smartpals before their jotter work.<\/p>\n

Olivier S liked learning about the correct layout in our maths squared jotters.<\/p>\n

My highlight has also been the lessons on using the squared jotters correctly in maths.\u00a0 The children did very well to try and copy sums from the board into their jotter, remembering the success criteria.\u00a0 I was very proud of their efforts.<\/p>\n

Well done to David K who received the Hot Chocolate Friday Award.<\/p>\n
