Kindness fuels kindness.<\/p>\n<p>. We made connections to our Childrens Rights<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Article 2 \u2013 <\/b><b>Non-discrimination:\u00a0<\/b>The Convention applies to every child without discrimination, whatever their ethnicity, gender, religion, language,\u00a0abilities\u00a0or any other status, whatever they think or say, whatever their family background.<\/li>\n<li><b>Article <\/b><b>12<\/b><b> \u2013 <\/b><b>R<\/b><b>espect for the views <\/b><b>of <\/b><b>the child:\u00a0<\/b>Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously.<\/li>\n<li><b>Article 19\u00a0<\/b><b>\u2013<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Protection from violence,\u00a0abuse\u00a0and neglect:\u00a0<\/b>Governments must do all they can to ensure that children are protected from all forms of violence, abuse, neglect and bad treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This week as part of <strong>Catholic Education Week<\/strong> we have been learning about the Pope Francis Faith Award\u00a0awarded by the Bishops\u2019 Conference of Scotland, designed to help children to show \u201csigns of love\u201d in their daily lives and to be active members of their local Church.\u00a0 It invites young people at the Primary 6 and 7 stages to use the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and to see how they can bear fruit in their homes, schools and parishes.<\/p>\n<p>We have we have been selecting two Junior Road Safety Officers. One from P6A and one from P6B, Most children in Primary 6 wanted to take part and completed an application form. They will be helping lead us find ways to be safer travelling to and from school throughout this year.<\/p>\n<p>In our Technology lesson we have been working cooperatively to create a paper bear. We will post a picture next week when we have completed it. As part of our topic we are continuing to use technology to research Climate Change Activists.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a very busy week.
