Here are the learning highlights of the week from the Green Table:<\/p>\n
Kayla loved making Hallowe\u2019en art!\u00a0 The children had 4 activities to choose from: making spooky pumpkin lanterns, paper plate cats\/bats\/witches, making witchy feet or spooky handprints.\u00a0 Kayla made a super paper plate witch!\u00a0 Unfortunately, due to the rain, they had to go in the school bags so they may need patching up a little.<\/p>\n
Nathan really enjoyed the \u2018Mummy Game\u2019 were two teams were in a race to see who could be wrapped up as a mummy the fastest with a toilet roll!\u00a0 Well done to Ruari\u2019s team who won!<\/p>\n
Ben liked writing poems this week.\u00a0 The children examined a poem called \u2018When the Wind Blows\u2019 and then created their own weather poem in groups.\u00a0 We had some fantastic ideas such as \u2018Crisp packets float\u2019 and \u2018Branches wave\u2019.\u00a0 Well done P2A!<\/p>\n
Emily enjoyed listening to a story about children who rescued a dog from a Dog\u2019s Home.\u00a0 There were so many dogs to choose from!\u00a0 Some were too loud, too quiet, too naughty and too lazy but in the end they found one that was just right!\u00a0 The children were giggling when Mrs Devlin told them about a naughty guinea pig she had once who ate a big hole in one of her curtains!<\/p>\n
Isabel loved our Word Boost book this week called \u2018Love From Lousia\u2019.<\/p>\n
Pola liked the Hallowe\u2019en Corners game we played today.\u00a0 Congratulations to Julia, our winner!<\/p>\n
My highlight was the Hallowe\u2019en art.\u00a0 All the fantastic pieces where placed around the room as part of our Hallowe\u2019en decorations.\u00a0 The classroom looked great!<\/p>\n
