This week we have been learning to use the Rekenreks to help us find the missing numbers in sums.\u00a0 We have been practising sums like 2 + ? = 10. \u00a0We also used the Numicon to help us make numbers. We have been learning to count in 2s and in 5s.\u00a0 We listened to some songs to help us.<\/p>\n
In Health and Wellbeing we made a baby\u2019s bottle.\u00a0 We put in 120ml of water and 4 scoops of powder.\u00a0 We flattened the powder with the back of a knife.<\/p>\n
During Topic we made information sheets about an insect.<\/p>\n
Our new sounds this week were \u2018ai\u2019 and \u2018oa\u2019.\u00a0 We learned to write words with these sounds.\u00a0 The staff were very impressed with our handwriting and we even got a sticker.<\/p>\n
We need to practise being good listeners so we are going to try hard to follow the good listening rules.\u00a0 Ask us what these rules are.<\/p>\n
Here are some of our personal highlights from this week.<\/p>\n
Pola \u2013 I enjoyed doing Spanish and I enjoyed doing our finger spaces and full stops because we were doing the \u2018ai\u2019 and \u2018oa\u2019.<\/p>\n
John \u2013 I liked playing with Nathan in the playground.\u00a0 We were playing Spiderman.<\/p>\n
Chijiakwu \u2013 I was trying hard to listen well this week.<\/p>\n
Ben \u2013 I enjoyed doing the fact families game.<\/p>\n
Ruari \u2013 I enjoyed playing with Nathan and Ben and Aiden and Ollie outside at break.<\/p>\n
Zosia \u2013 I enjoyed doing our information books about insects.\u00a0 I learned about dragonflies.<\/p>\n
