P2B have had a super week!\u00a0 We are very excited that Advent is starting on Sunday and the countdown to the birth of Jesus can begin (as well as a certain person coming in a red suit!).<\/p>\n
Here are the highlights of our week:<\/p>\n
Emily has loved learning about Weddings this week as part of our \u2018Festivals and Celebrations\u2019 topic.\u00a0 She designed a beautiful wedding dress!<\/p>\n
Paige enjoyed learning about Global Goals this week.\u00a0 What a fantastic lesson we had this week introducing Global Goals!\u00a0 The children looked at a picture of God\u2019s beautiful world and then had a think about problems that existed in the world.\u00a0 We made a very long list ranging from pollution in the sea to children not having enough food to eat.\u00a0 We heard the VERY GOOD NEWS that by the time they are 16, in 10 years time, the hope is that these problems will no longer exist.\u00a0 We heard that all the leaders in the world are working together to sort these problems out BUT they need our help.\u00a0 We can be super heroes and help too!\u00a0 We talked about what we can do to help.\u00a0 Some ideas were to remember to recycle and put rubbish in the bin, send our old clothes to charity shops and to pray for the world.\u00a0 We watched a video showing schools around the world and we were sad to see some children sitting on the ground with no nice pencils or paper to write with and no smartboard and no colour at all. \u00a0It made us grateful what we have.<\/p>\n
Szymon liked Fun Friday today were he played with cubes.<\/p>\n
Zac enjoyed looking at the Virtual Classroom and especially liked seeing the map that Markuss sent us and clicking on it to visit other parts of the world.\u00a0 We visited Peru and Canada.<\/p>\n
Mrs Devlin\u2019s highlight was definitely the lesson on Global Goals.\u00a0 We cheered so loud when we heard how by 2030 these goals may be achieved.\u00a0 I think everyone in Livingston heard us!\u00a0 It was heartening to see the children so enthusiastic about these important world issues.<\/p>\n
Thank you to our two Lead Learners this week, Markuss and Zac.\u00a0 Their target for us this week was to put our coat and shoes out in the cloakroom quicker but not to run.\u00a0 We need to remember our school\u2019s \u2018Ready, Respectful, Safe\u2019 rules and if we ran then we would not be safe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
