It has been another busy week in P1B.<\/p>\n
This week we have been learning the sound ‘e’.\u00a0 We can recall words that beginning with e and we also looked at words that have the sound e in the middle of their word.\u00a0 We tried very hard to read words by blending our sounds.\u00a0 We practised forming the letter e.<\/p>\n
We read the story ‘The Old Toy Room’ we sequenced pictures into the correct order to retell the story and we wrote a sentence to describe a toy.\u00a0 We looked at toys from the past and compared them to present day.\u00a0 We then looked at how toys move, whether it is by motion of push or pull.<\/p>\n
We investigated money coins, we matched, sorted and ordered them by value.\u00a0 We also looked at number bonds for 7 and 8 and made the number in different ways.\u00a0 We learned the facts to 8 by giving a lady bird her spots.<\/p>\n
We have added a cafe and shop to the play area with money coins for the children to explore buying items.<\/p>\n
The children have enjoyed the block play.\u00a0 They worked collaboratively with their peers to design and create buildings.<\/p>\n
