Today in maths we combined what we knew about topic with what we were learning about in measure. We set up a ramp in the classroom and got the Whirry Bangs we had made together and estimated how far each of our classmate’s Whirry Bangs would travel after leaving the ramp. Our estimations in cm’s were pretty close to the actual distance the cars went. Louise and Ellie’s have travelled the furthest so far (more than a metre!), but we are still going to try the others tomorrow so watch this space. P6/7 helped us by measuring the length and width of our Whirry Bangs, so we can include this in our instruction writing. They also helped to mend some of our Whirry Bangs, so thank-you very much for your help this afternoon! Rachael, Oliwia and Kieran made top photographers in the lesson, so watch this space for the pictures they took.
The Whirry Bang race!
