Emotions part 2

Hi Everyone!

It has been many long weeks of the lockdown and challenging times for everybody. We all need to make sure we look after ourselves, our family and friends. And of course we need to ensure that our nursery children are well and healthy, not only physically, but mentally especially and that they cope with their emotions. It must be very difficult for them to understand why they cannot be in the nursery, see other people and cuddle them, why they can’t play with friends, why things changed so suddenly.

I decided to talk about emotions again as from my own experience I know how hard it is. I have my good, but also bad days.  Sometime I feel we get through this, become stronger and resiliant. But there are days when I am not as positive and I feel very sad and fed up. And its very important to talk about our feelings.

Talk to your children, tell them how you feel and model the positive conversations about emotions and feelings. Let them know it is ok to not be ok…

I am also attaching a song and hope you enjoy it together. Maybe you can draw some pictures and post them?

Take care everyone

Nursery Team
