This website is a great resource for phonics and spelling practise.
I will post the link below, but you can also access it from the Doorway online link at the side, under parents.
Here is the link https://www.doorwayonline.org.uk/literacy/
There are 3 useful sections: First Phonics, Speller 2 and Letter and number formation.
First phonics
Pupils can practise their phonics on a variety of levels from first sounds and CVC words to more complex blends and phoneme diagraphs.
The activities have 2 modes- assessment and learning.
Assessment mode is when a word is said but not displayed for the child and they have to type it in correctly without seeing it.
Learning mode is when the word is said and visually displayed for the child to practise typing to spell it.
Speller 2
Uses a Look, Say, Cover, Write , Check approach to spelling words. Ths spelling activity ranges from CVC words, right through to the 1200 common words, depending on your child’s personal spelling needs.
Letter and Number Formation
This activity allows your child to practise writing their letters and numbers correctly on the computer, though you may also want to get your child to practise writing these with an pencil in one of their jotter pages, so that they are still forming the letters correctly when physically writing.
