MEP letter response

letter from mep

Last term P6 wrote questions to a M.E.P called Catherine Stihler, we had to put our address and the date, and a lot of detail to our questions  there were many question but Catherine didn’t have time to answer them all so she answered the 16 most said questions.

Here are 3 questions and there answers

1:Q: How long have you been a M.E.P?                                                           A: Since 1999 and I was the youngest MEP elected that year

2:Q: What suggestions have you made that have become legislation                                                                                                      A: there are two things in particular I have campaigned for and I am very proud to see become a reality, firstly Braille on medicine packaging which is very helpful to blind people and the pictorial health warnings on cigarette packages that show the damage to your health that smoking causes.

3: Q: What don’t you like about your job                                               A: I don’t like being away from my Husband and children 3 nights a week as I miss them very much. I do keep in touch regular contact with them using Face-Time and Skype.

We were very excited to hear back from her and now she has got back to us.

Bonnytoun Nursery

Over the last few weeks, we’ve had great excitement in nursery.

At the beginning of December we had the opportunity to view a performance by Mousetale Puppets. The children really enjoyed this and had the opportunity to touch the puppets afterwards and find out how they were made.

Our children also had great fun at our nursery parties and were so excited when Santa arrived to deliver presents.

This week we have been so proud of all our confident children  who have performed brilliantly during our six Christmas Singalongs.

Springfield Primary School’s Christmas Church Service 2015

We are so proud of our pupils and staff as they led us into a celebration at this very special time of year. Pupils from all classes are taking part in our Church Service at St. Michael’s in Linlithgow. We have a host of talent from singing, drama and music. Pupils from P1 are taking part in the Nativity scene whilst pupils from P2 – P7 are sharing readings from ‘Twas the Night of Jesus’s Birth’.

Musical talents are shared including a whole orchestra of instruments including: brass, recorders, flutes, strings, choir, ukeleles, Music Buds and of course the choir singing. We are so proud of our pupils and staff at Springfield Primary and Bonnytoun Nursery and sincerely hope everyone enjoys this very special service.

We would like to thank everyone for their help and support making this happen.
