{"id":6618,"date":"2026-10-02T14:13:05","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T13:13:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=6618"},"modified":"2026-10-02T14:13:05","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T13:13:05","slug":"primary-6-7-friday-2nd-october-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2026\/10\/02\/primary-6-7-friday-2nd-october-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 6\/7 Friday 2nd October 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve had an industrious week in Primary 6\/7 and have been working very hard putting the finishing touches on our assembly group presentations.<\/p>\n<p>We decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:<\/p>\n<p>Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We were trying to include figurative language and powerful vocabulary when writing descriptions about a busy football stadium or concert.<\/li>\n<li>We have been continuing to learn about internet safety and discussing what we should and shouldn&#8217;t post online.<\/li>\n<li>We made super progress with our assembly power points and have been developing our proof reading and editing skills while experimenting with different fonts and designs.<\/li>\n<li>In Numeracy we have been learning about partitioning and building decimal fractions.<\/li>\n<li>We have also been developing our self and peer evaluation skills and many pupils are now able to use the success criteria to help them write quality feedback.<\/li>\n<li>We enjoyed discussing and comparing rites of passage in RME.<\/li>\n<li>Some people really enjoyed working on chip shots in golf.<\/li>\n<li>Although there is still room for improvement, more pupils were making sensible choices and being respectful this week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some people found a listening task tricky and decided they need to listen more carefully so they hear all the information.<\/li>\n<li>Most people feel confident about using similes in their writing\u00a0 but feel they now need to include more metaphors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our school value award winners for this week are Ryan for being responsible and Ellie for being ambitious.\u00a0 Well done!<\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely weekend everyone and we look forward to welcoming our family members to our class assembly next Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve had an industrious week in Primary 6\/7 and have been working very hard putting the finishing touches on our assembly group presentations.
