{"id":6580,"date":"2026-09-22T09:23:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T08:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=6580"},"modified":"2026-09-22T09:23:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T08:23:16","slug":"primary-5-6-friday-18th-september-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2026\/09\/22\/primary-5-6-friday-18th-september-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 5\/6   &#8211;  Friday 18th September 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have had a busy week this week and Lead learners Jacob and Sofia have been keeping an eye out to see who is demonstrating our school values.<\/p>\n<p>Tickled Pink &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We were working hard on our sewing tasks.<\/li>\n<li>We were being creative as we began thinking about our Edinburgh Airport competition entry &#8211; We have to design a sustainable airport that will be inclusive for all.<\/li>\n<li>Rounding and estimating activities, we are quite confident with these tasks and know why it is important to be able to estimate.<\/li>\n<li>Our Reading book activities and creating our design for an ebay\/ amazon advert.<\/li>\n<li>PE &#8211; Basketball<\/li>\n<li>We created 3D shapes and made them into Angry Birds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Green for Growth-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mental maths was quite tricky for some who forgot different ways of solving a problem.<\/li>\n<li>Some of our spelling words were tricky this week\u00a0 &#8211; erosion, excursion we need to practice our spelling and\u00a0 vocabulary. We will be using dictionaries to help us understand meanings of tricky words.<\/li>\n<li>Writing was a bit tricky this week &#8211; Our title was the Playground Problem &#8211; some of us found it
