{"id":4882,"date":"2026-04-24T12:48:49","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T11:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=4882"},"modified":"2026-04-24T12:48:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T11:48:49","slug":"primary-2-3-friday-24th-april-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2026\/04\/24\/primary-2-3-friday-24th-april-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 2\/3 Friday 24th April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What a fantastic week we have had in P2\/3 with the highlight being our trip to West Lothian College for the &#8216;Big Build&#8217; event.<\/p>\n<p>Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We loved using the real saws, hammers and nails during the Big Build and we were very good at staying safe and assessing risks.<\/li>\n<li>We learned about Earth Day and created folding globes to display our thoughts on how we can care for the world.<\/li>\n<li>We enjoyed working in random groups to complete a Rich Task in Maths which involved thinking\u00a0 about how to display football cards. We used what we had learned recently about arrays to help us with this.<\/li>\n<li>We had our first NYCOS music session and we really enjoyed the singing and clapping games.<\/li>\n<li>We continued our class talks and it was interesting to find out about everybody&#8217;s favourite things.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We would like more opportunities to work with real tools in the future so we can get better at using them.<\/li>\n<li>We have been trying hard to &#8216;Beat the Teacher&#8217; so we need to get better at stopping chatting quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our school value award winners for this week are Olivia N and Iver for being ambitious and responsible.
