{"id":4766,"date":"2026-02-06T13:18:34","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T13:18:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=4766"},"modified":"2026-02-06T13:18:34","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T13:18:34","slug":"primary-2-3-friday-6th-february-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2026\/02\/06\/primary-2-3-friday-6th-february-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 2\/3 Friday 6th February 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What a busy week we&#8217;ve had in Primary 2\/3\u00a0 \u00a0Here\u2019s what we would like to share about our learning:<\/p>\n<p>Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During Health and Wellbeing we learned about table manners and we are trying to demonstrate these when eating lunch in the dining hall.\u00a0 We also discussed different celebrations when families eat together and we each chose a special occasion and created a menu for it,<\/li>\n<li>We learned about speech marks and tried to include them in our narrative texts.<\/li>\n<li>Inspired by Oor Wullie and The Broons we worked in groups and started creating our own comic strips.\u00a0 This will give us the chance to share many of the Scots words we&#8217;ve learned this term.<\/li>\n<li>During our outdoor learning session we learned about the Arctic and Antartica and we played a Polar Lands game.\u00a0 We were pleased to earn an &#8216;Exploring&#8217; stamp in our WWF Happy in Nature passports.<\/li>\n<li>In Maths we used what we&#8217;d learned about tally marks to collect data from the class about their favourite Scottish foods, animals and landmarks.\u00a0 We then used this information to create pictograms.\u00a0 We also enjoyed looking at various online pictograms and interpreting them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It was tricky trying to remember exactly where to put the speech marks but hopefully the comic strips we&#8217;re working on will help make this clearer.<\/li>\n<li>We loved making Valentine cards during our joint play session with Primary 1 and we would like to learn more about cards with pop ups and inserts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our school value award winners for this week are Rose and Ollie.
