{"id":4728,"date":"2026-01-09T13:14:18","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T13:14:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=4728"},"modified":"2026-01-09T13:14:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T13:14:18","slug":"primary-2-3-friday-9th-january-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2026\/01\/09\/primary-2-3-friday-9th-january-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 2\/3 Friday 9th January 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve had a great start to the new year in P2\/3.<\/p>\n<p>Tickled Pink<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We learned about compass points and played a Four Corners game where we had to run to the North, South, East or West.<\/li>\n<li>We also learned about journeys and giving directions and after learning a strategy to help us with\u00a0 left and right we gave directions to our peers and directed the Beebots to various places on a map.<\/li>\n<li>We learned about what Winter is like in Scotland and this inspired us to write fabulous Winter acrostic poems which we performed for the P1 class.<\/li>\n<li>During outdoor learning we went on a Winter Scavenger Hunt and we discussed how our local environment has changed since the Summer.<\/li>\n<li>In PE we had lots of fun playing games with the large parachute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Green for Growth<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We listened to some Scottish poems and we think its going to be difficult to learn them for the Burns Assembly because some of the words are very tricky.<\/li>\n<li>We are going to work on our indoor voices because some of the class are using loud voices since we&#8217;ve returned.<\/li>\n<li>Some children also think we need to try harder to tidy the classroom at the end of the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our Lead Learners this week were Molly for being Responsible and Freddie for being Ambitious.
